Bapusaheb Govindrao Jagtap founder of KholKhandoba Devasthan Trust. He was born in 1904. After completing his education he had good relation with the Maharaja of Kolhapur Shri Chh. Shahu maharaja who led him to have Vedic education from Kashi-Varanashi in Uttarpradesh.

                          His highness late Chh.Shahu Maaraja established Vedic School at Kolhapur to educate the minorities in Vedic science. Bapusaheb was appointed to teach in Vedic School at Kolhapur. In these day's Bapusaheb was elected on the Local Board Committee which enlighted him to work as a social worker for the community. He led founding of the KholKhandoba Devasthan Trust in the year 1952.

                          Bapusaheb later had relation with Chh. Rajaram Maharaja who led Bapuso to form the relations in many institution. Bapusaheb was a leading member to prepare the constitution for Shetkari Sahakari Sangha established by Chh. Rajaram Maharaja. Bapusaheb was interested in classical music, Kirtan and Bhajans’ (composed spiritual songs in the name of Lord.) which were run in the Temple of Lord Khandoba. He was died in 1969.
